Halloween with Tweens + my bedtime sweet treat + PSA
CURRENTLY INTO
Watching: Soaking up my last few days of scary movies! Matt is beyond ready for November.
Shopping: My favorite recent purchase…these pens! I’m a sucker for good office supplies, and these write like butter: .5 mm tip, smooth ink, no smudging, 10/10 recommend.
Eating: I’ve always needed a little treat after dinner, and I recently discovered these Unreal Crispy Quinoa Gems. OBSESSED. And a serving size is 36 pieces which couldn’t make me happier.
Reading: A million emails about Thomas’s flag football tournament the day after Halloween. It runs 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m…
Listening to: lots and lots of rain this week.
Loving: The full chaos and magic of Halloween week!!!

My favorite little beauty hack for travel. One drop removes any redness and lasts up to 8 hours while helping your eyes look a lot less tired than you actually are. I always keep a bottle in my toiletry bag.
I left my dermatologist appointment two moles lighter this week and wanted to remind you to schedule your annual skin check! It’s so important!
I rounded up everything I packed for the Amazon Creator Summit last week.
My 2025 Tween Girls Gift Guide is live! It’s packed with a mix of Caroline’s wish list, along with items straight from the tween girls group chat, so you know they are the real deal.
If you’re looking for a cocktail that combines cozy vibes with a little extra warmth, this Chai Martini (or “Chai-tini”) is exactly what you need.
Thomas wore two right shoes to school.
This little sound machine absolutely saved me at the hotel last week. Also filing it under “perfect stocking stuffer for the traveler.”
All my favorite gluten-free snacks right now.
THOUGHT DROP
Halloween is my second favorite holiday (right behind Christmas Eve, tied with Easter). I love everything about it…the decorations, the cooler temps and changing leaves, the festive treats, and all the little traditions that come with it. I’ve loved every season of Halloween as a family, but I can feel we’re on the cusp of change.
While I successfully bribed my kids into another family costume this year (and yes, we won the neighborhood contest again!), there’s a part of me that knows it might be the last one…and that tugs at my heart a little. Trick-or-treating will likely look the same as last year, with Caroline and her friends bolting out the door the minute the sun goes down, while Thomas still wants us close enough that if his pillowcase split open, we’re there to help scoop up the candy.
It’s a strange in-between season, one where they’re growing up but still want us in the background. And while part of me feels weepy about it, I’m mostly just grateful. Grateful to still be part of the fun and not quite stuck on the porch steps handing out candy…at least not yet.
